CODES OF CONDUCT

Black Brick events are designed to be socially, emotionally and legally safe. To this end, every attendee agrees to understand, observe and maintain these rules. We are largely self-policing, though volunteers and staff are empowered to enforce the rules and intervene when necessary.

• Consent is mandatory. All interactions, physical or verbal, must be enthusiastically and freely given. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• No means no. There is no room for ambiguity. If you are unsure, ask.
• Respect personal boundaries. Do not touch anyone without explicit permission.
• Harassment, intimidation, or any form of aggression will not be tolerated.
• Respect the privacy of others. Do not disclose personal information or experiences shared within the Studio without explicit consent.
• Be mindful of non-verbal cues. If someone appears uncomfortable, disengage.

• Practice safe sex. Use barrier methods (condoms, dental dams), consider taking PrEP and DoxyPep to prevent the transmission of STIs.
• Be aware of your own and others' limits regarding alcohol and drug consumption. Excessive intoxication can impair judgment and lead to unsafe situations.
• If you observe or experience any unsafe behavior, report it to a staff member immediately.
• Be aware of the Studio's rules regarding photography and videography. None is allowed. 

• Maintain personal hygiene.
• Clean up after yourself. Dispose of used items properly in the trash cans around the Studio
• Respect the Studio's facilities and equipment

• Respect the Studio's rules and staff instructions.
• Be mindful of noise levels and avoid disruptive behavior.
• Respect the diversity of individuals present. This is a space for men of all identities.
• No means of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability will be tolerated.
• Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
• If you have any questions or concerns, approach a staff member.
• Be respectful of the Studio's property. This means cleaning up after yourself at all times. If you spill anything wipe it up and put it in the trash.
• Please leave the bathrooms as you find them: spotless. If they aren't spotless, take a moment to make them as such or tell a member of staff either at the bar or reception. 

• Violation of this code of conduct may result in a warning, suspension, or expulsion from the Studio.
• The Studio reserves the right to refuse entry or service to anyone.
• Staff decisions are final.
